So tell me what are you doing when you’re bored or taking a break from your activities?

Scrolling TikTok, Instagram, or watch a couple of videos on youtube?

Well according to the study, those activities just will increase your boredom. Although we spend most of our time on our phones all day long, the study showed that we also need to take “phone breaks” every 20 minutes or so.

Why Phone Breaks Make Us Bored Even more

  • Switching from work to your phone and vice versa continuously will make you more mentally tiring
  • Picking up your phone will remind you of all the fun that you could do instead of doing your work-related things and end up delay to finishing your work.

How To Take Better Breaks

  • Grab a cup of coffee or tea to get you a peaceful mind and it can help you to relax
  • Have a simple chat with a person you like to talk to to boost your mood
  • Read a book you like, maybe a couple of pages or a chapter
  • Coloring or draw something
  • Take a walk down around your places or a park
